Electroswitch is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for our manufacturing facility in Weymouth. This position will be responsible to assist with the maintenance repair and upkeep of company facilities including buildings, property, systems, equipment, and supplies. Assist in the supervision of outside services that support the company as directed by the Facilities Manager.
Essential responsibilities include:
Maintain, diagnosis and repair mechanical electrical and plumbing systems; compressed air equipment; pneumatics; ventilation/dust collection system; sprinkler, fire alarm, emergency lighting, and the facility upkeep in general.
Function independently on routine items to analyze, evaluate and repair equipment problems involving HVAC systems, with heating by electricity, oil fired forced hot water and steam or gas.
Communicate with Manager on all items including submitted work orders, workload, problems, schedules, and prioritization.
Assist in the relocation of machinery, building and departmental moves, demolition, carpentry, and painting as needed.
Fabricate, order, and/or install machinery parts for equipment repair, plating/ machine shop, pneumatic and hydraulics requiring knowledge of metal properties and ability to read blueprints.
Initiate purchase requisitions and manager signature for approval to purchase parts/supplies for electrical, plumbing, equipment repair, and housekeeping supplies.
Supervise and coordinate outside cleaning services. Inventory and order all necessary supplies with Manager approval.
Hazardous waste emergency responder.
Participate in opening and securing Company buildings as directed by management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Assist Manager, as needed, in meeting with outside vendors.
Assist in enforcing safety regulations.
Maintain necessary records, files and reports. Follow established company rules and regulations including safety rules and regulations.
Must be able to work extended hours if required.
