SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Load and unload all deliveries and shipments made to and from the facility.  Move materials within the plant.  Perform various checking, counting, weighing, recording, inspecting of raw materials, receiving, and dispersing operations, following established methods and procedures.

Inspect supplier and vendor components to meet print specifications utilizing standard SPC measuring tools and devices and maintain inspection files and records as required.  Complete Operator Certification Program (QCPGA033).

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work from Purchase Orders, drawings, shipping traveling documentation, established procedures, written and/or verbal instruction to perform duties.  Check incoming material quality requirements, quantities, and conditions.  Perform Quality Control inspection on raw materials and components, visually and mechanically by using measuring devices and hardness testing.

Identify Purchase Order number and pull up record to enter quantities into the computer.  Notify supervision of discrepancies and receipt of damaged goods and record on carrier’s copies.  Re-strap or reseal packages as required for return of damaged or unsatisfactory goods.  Upon completed inspection, disburse to designated stock location.

Maintain records on materials sent to vendors for plating, heat-treating, or other related work.

Create tags with part number and location, utilizing Traveler's documentation.  Move materials to assigned locations.

Color code bar stock and create identification tags for coils to track inferior materials.

Utilize pallet jack, hydraulic forklift, two-wheelers, and other related equipment necessary for material handling. Must be forklift certified.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pick orders throughout the Shop as required.

 

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a level of knowledge associated with a High school diploma or equivalent with one to three years of shipping, receiving and inspection experience.  Working knowledge of a variety of measuring instruments including micrometers, hardness testers, verniers, calipers, gages, and other related instruments along with mainframe computer experience.  Previous training and experience on hydraulic forklifts.  Candidate must complete the Operator Certification (QCPGA033) Training provided by Quality Assurance.                         

This position requires access to technology that is controlled under the US export control laws and regulations. Accordingly, this position is restricted to US Citizens and permanent residents.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Required to sit, stand, and bend.
  • Must be capable of lifting over 60 lbs. on a regular basis.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Combination of Manufacturing and Office environment
  • Regular exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold and odors
